Bourbon Elise LEZALU Review

Bourbon Elise LEZALU Review – Japanese Snack by Bourbon

Introduction

This article reviews Elise LEZAU, one of the Elise series snacks by Bourbon.

This product was just released in March 2026, and recently it has been noticeably difficult to find in stores in my area, often appearing to be low in stock.

Packaging

Elise LEZALU Japanese snack package

When viewed vertically, it looks like this.

Elise LEZALU vertical package design

The color scheme of the package gives a very refreshing impression.

It says “crispy texture, stick cereal”, and the flavor is sugar butter.

Sugar butter itself is already a delicious flavor, and judging from the package image, it looks like a generous amount is sandwiched inside.

From the design, it is clear that this product is similar in structure to Elise PAKILA.

PAKILA.

On the back of the package, there is a simple diagram showing that butter-flavored chocolate is sandwiched between cereal layers.

Below that, it explains:

“A crispy cereal dough made from wheat, corn, and rye is used to sandwich salted butter-flavored chocolate.”

At that point, I thought:

“This is not an ordinary snack.”

Inside the Package

Elise LEZALU snack sticks inside the box

When I took it out of the box, it clearly looked different from the traditional Elise.

It appears to have more bite, and more importantly, it looks like it is filled with a good amount of butter-flavored chocolate.

When I smelled it, there was a mix of baked wheat aroma and butter scent.

At the same time, it is not too strong, which gives a more natural and gentle impression rather than something exaggerated.

Appearance

One important point is that this LEZALU uses cereal dough.

Traditional Elise products have a softer image with wafers and cream or chocolate, but this product, while still part of the Elise brand, feels like it is taking a more advanced approach.

Taste & Texture

After taking one bite, it is already enjoyable and tasty from the very first moment.

The crunchy cereal texture combined with the melting butter-flavored chocolate creates a very satisfying experience.

Compared to PAKILA, the difference is subtle, but the outer texture is closer to crunchy rather than crispy, while the inside remains slightly moist but more solid.

It offers a different kind of enjoyable texture compared to PAKILA.

Before I knew it, I kept reaching for another piece, and another.

At the same time, I felt that I did not want it to run out too quickly.

It is a snack that I can easily recommend trying at least once if you get the chance.

Final Thoughts

Elise LEZALU offers a different experience compared to the traditional Elise series by using cereal dough instead of wafers.

The combination of crunchy texture and butter-flavored chocolate creates a satisfying balance, and it feels like a more modern variation within the Elise lineup.

It is a snack worth trying at least once.
